Hi Everybody!

Today we played our second game of the season against a well trained IBK Lund P11 Dalby. This is a very organized and drilled team that have come up to this level to win so we knew that this would be a tough game.
Even though the final score was not in our favor, as a team we were successful in many ways.

Off the court all the duties of  running the kiosk and game secretary were run excellent! Thank you!

Thanks to Daniel and Faburama we were even able to live stream our game and hopefully have some footage we can use to help us explain and coach the boys with.

On the court we had to adjust our original game plan as one of our vice captains Neo has been a bit sick the past few days. He once again demonstrated his leadership abilities by coming and supporting his team from the bench.
One adjustment for Neos absence on the floor was to play Pietro in a new position of Center. Coming off his hat-trick last week Pietro did a great job filling in the new role and even found the back of the goal again today.

Another adjustment we made was to use the versatility and speed of Levi and move him to Defense. After his two goals last week he accepted his new role this week and did a great job helping lead line 3 from the back. I was very happy with the performance from him today.

Samuel wore the captains armband band for the first time since being awarded the captaincy and did a good job leading the squad in warmups and on the floor as well as helping his teammates keep focus.

The first period was very tight and ended 1-2 in favor of Lund. We were a bit unlucky with the chances we created and the Lund keeper made a few really good stops.

The second period was a bit one sided and ended with the score at 1-6. Lund adjusted their play and stepped up their aggressiveness. We let in a couple goals when we failed to keep pressure on the ball behind the goal and our communication on the floor (steg 2) slipped a bit. Again we missed  hitting the target a few times and when we did have shots on goal Lunds goalkeeper was sure handed and didnt leave us any rebounds to attack.

The third period was a good test of our character. We were down and had a hill to climb. Lund scored a couple goals and the contest was starting to get beyond reach. The Lund keeper continued making good save after good save, but most of the boys remained positive and continued fighting ??

It was a tough match and not the best result, but it was a positive experience in many other respects.

Both individually and as a team we continue to make progress! I hope the boys are looking forward to practice on Tuesday as much as I am.

Until then, all the best,
